Art has a rich background as a world-class data scientist, with expertise in leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to derive insights from complex data sets. He is currently an independent researcher at George Mason University’s Computational Social Science department, where he explores cutting-edge techniques for understanding human behavior and social dynamics through data analysis.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Art has over two decades of consulting experience with various U.S. government agencies. During this time, he has developed enterprise-scale solutions to tackle intricate and multifaceted challenges, often referred to as “wicked problems.” His ability to combine technical prowess with a deep understanding of real-world complexities has made him a valuable asset in addressing critical issues faced by both government and enterprise organizations.
The geography of Art’s work has taken him from Sao Paulo to Hawaii, from Stockholm to Japan, and visits to hundreds of locations in-between. He has a PhD from Virginia Tech, a USC Master’s degree, and a BA from George Washington University.
Barry is a seasoned leader in the dynamic tech landscape, excelling in sales, strategy planning, and executive management roles. In his most recent capacity for a consulting company that he founded, TNT Advisory, he has used his expertise in leveraging proven methodologies to drive results.
Barry’s past successes include co-founding a broadband services provider that made the Inc. 5000 list four consecutive times, revitalizing a stagnant division of an NYSE firm, and scaling two early-stage sub-$10 million companies to over $100 million in under two years.
With a keen eye for identifying opportunities and a talent for execution, Barry has consistently delivered impressive growth and profitability. For nearly two decades, he also presided over the HUB, a premier networking group, with 5,000 members and participants, in the Washington, D.C. area.
Barry’s ability to foster connections and build strong professional networks has been instrumental in his success. His strategic vision, coupled with his hands-on approach and commitment to excellence, has made him a respected figure in the industry. Barry has worked on both coasts, and he is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
